Everyone in the world does something that annoys us but we all learn to coexist together. Well there are some things you just shouldn’t say to those who are providing your babies and toddlers care…
1. I am not a baby-sitter, sometimes it the easiest way to define your job but its demeaning! Child care providers have to schedule, plan extra curricular activities, meals and educate as much as possible. Much more than just watching your children while your away for a couple of hours.
2. Sending on a regular bases new individuals to pick up your children, I never understood why parents would send multiple random individuals to pick up there children. It is much more concerning when even the child doesn’t recognize the person either. To avoid kidnapping, it’s a good idea to find a provider who monitors pickups. MediCare Professionals, “Achieve the Early Dream Child Care Center” has a list where you can monitor who is leaving and picking up children from our privately owned and family operated center. No matter the hassle, you don’t want to hand over someone’s little world to some stranger.
3. Making special request only to bail on your end, for example: making an appointment to speak about your concerns; about whatever and then disappear. Sometimes important matters do come up unexpectedly, that’s understandable… I mean those people who do this three times a week/20 times a month…
4. “Why don’t you get a real job” comments averagely made by the closed minded male. It’s not nice.
5. Child care is sooo expensive…, depending on the services your looking for yes child care can be expensive. Yet nothing is more rewarding than giving your child the ability to gain headstart opportunities, social skills, fun learning activities. Sometimes the price doesn’t matter, what matters is your babies safety and happiness.
6. When something horrible happens in childcare on the news, never think it is wrong to be aware of what’s going on your local community esepecially when it concerns your baby. Keep yourself active and self aware of what’s going on around you.
• Try speaking to your child care provider to see how well they keep up with the public concerns and how they combat those things from happening in there facility.
• Speaking to other parents who are attending the same facility can provide you insight to things you might have not noticed yourself. It’s so nice to have another non professional opinion about child care facilities and talking about your concerns. Although wether first or last you should voice your concerns to the provider. You definitely want them to be aware of your concerns so they work toward providing you excellent service solutions for you and your child.
